Crumb rubber regulation

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's crumb rubber producers should use
rubber raw materials processed under Indonesian National Standard
(SNI) or ISO 9000 quality standards beginning from October next
year, according to a new decree issued by the Ministry of Trade
and Industry.

The new decree also required crumb rubber producers to buy
their rubber raw materials from licensed vendors, the ministry
said in a statement on Thursday.

The ministry said violations of the new decree would result in
revocation of producer's SNI and ISO 9000 certificates. (06)
