The Blora Migas Energy Cooperative (BME) has begun sending crude oil produced from community wells to Pertamina as an initial step to strengthen regional energy production while supporting national oil lifting targets.

“Crude oil sent from community wells in Desa Plantungan, Blora sub-district, totalling around 15,000 litres of crude oil,” said BME Blora Chairman Sutrisno in Blora, Central Java, on Tuesday.

He stated that this represents a positive initial step, which could later help increase oil lifting and support energy independence.

The sample shipment from Plantungan was carried out on Monday (11/5) using four tanker trucks, each with a capacity of 5,000 litres.

He revealed that all crude oil shipments must undergo quality testing by PT Pertamina before acceptance. One of the main requirements is a maximum water content of 0.5 per cent in accordance with the cooperation agreement.

“We are currently awaiting laboratory results. If it meets the requirements, it can then be unloaded,” he said.

He added that previously, a sample of oil from Desa Botoreco was declared to meet Pertamina’s standards and even received appreciation because its water content was below the threshold.

To maintain quality, the crude oil produced from Plantungan also undergoes a collection and sedimentation process before being sent.

In addition, the tanker truck fleet used will also undergo fitness testing with Pertamina, including checks on technical specifications and operational completeness.

“It is hoped that the oil sample from Desa Plantungan sent yesterday can also pass like in Botoreco,” he said.

Currently, he said, there are around 1,600 community well sites under BME’s guidance, spread across several sub-districts in Blora Regency.

The areas include Desa Plantungan in Blora sub-district, Desa Ngiyono in Japah sub-district, Desa Talokwohmojo and Karangtengah in Ngawen sub-district, to Desa Plosorejo and Botoreco in Kunduran sub-district.

“From the thousands of wells, the oil production potential is estimated to reach around 10,000 litres per day,” he said.

BME Blora continues to strive to align all production and distribution processes with applicable regulations.

In addition, he said, BME also collaborates with several Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in oil-producing villages to support the management and shipment of production.

“Any villages that are ready for production will be encouraged to undergo sample testing and other feasibility checks,” he added.

According to Sutrisno, the synergy between BME and Pertamina is expected to increase national oil lifting, strengthen energy resilience, and boost regional income.

“It is hoped that from this earth’s potential, it can increase Profit-Sharing Funds, village PAD, as well as the welfare of community well miners,” he said.
