Crowds Flock to Jogja Financial Festival: Here’s the Reason
Yogyakarta, CNBC Indonesia — On the second day of Jogja Financial Festival 2026 at Jogja Expo Centre (JEC), Bantul, the event featured inspirational speakers and drew crowds of students and members of the public. According to CNBC Indonesia’s observations at 8:45 am, participants were flocking to JEC with enthusiasm, even though the event was scheduled to begin about 45 minutes later. Radin, a tenth-grade student at SMA 9 Yogyakarta, said he was very excited to join the event. ‘Antusias mas! I can see the vibes are lively and the guest line-up is also interesting, which could serve as a platform to explore matters of finance,’ he said outside JEC on Saturday, 23 May 2026. He arrived with around 72 friends. On the festival’s second day (23 May 2026) at JEC, speakers included top figures ranging from a member of the DPR RI, the President Director of a leading Indonesian company Danantara, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the Ministry of Finance. Mukhamad Misbakhun, the Chairman of Commission XI of the DPR RI, was due to take the podium first to deliver the keynote speech.
