Crowds Flock to Artha Graha Cheap Market Operation, Beef Priced at Only Rp70,000
A subsidised cheap market programme has been relaunched ahead of Eid al-Fitr to help the public obtain essential goods at more affordable prices. The initiative is organised by Electronic City in collaboration with Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) and provides various food commodities widely needed by residents.
Lardi, operations coordinator for the AGP cheap market, stated that the programme represents a demonstration of concern for the community, particularly as prices for food items tend to increase approaching the holiday period. He noted that key commodities including chillies, garlic, meat, and eggs are available to enable residents to directly benefit from the activity.
The Artha Graha Peduli cheap market programme has been operating since 11 December 2025 and is conducted continuously across various regions of Indonesia. As the final week of Ramadan approaches, the initiative’s coverage has been expanded, particularly in the Jabodetabek region, with additional market operations for strategic food commodities that frequently experience price increases approaching Eid.
Through this market operation, residents can purchase frozen beef at Rp70,000 per kilogramme and chicken eggs at Rp25,000 per kilogramme, both below government reference prices. Additionally, AGP provides kitchen ingredient packages containing red bird’s eye chillies, curly red chillies, and shallots at Rp50,000 per package, which has been met with enthusiasm from residents as it helps meet food needs approaching the holiday period.
