Crowding passengers on single bus

We were passengers on a Metromini S75 bus, license number B
7969, from Pasar Minggu to Blok M on Aug. 24.

When the bus arrived at Jalan Tendean it stopped near the
Mampang junction and was loaded with all passengers from another
Metromini S75 bus (license number B 7181).

The additional passengers did not make our bus too crowded,
yet. But after the Senopati junction, we were asked to disembark
and to move into another Metromini S75 whose license number we
missed.

Passengers were grumbling but they followed the command of the
bus conductor to move. By now passengers from three buses were
crammed into one bus.

Our suffering, it seemed, was destined to go on. When our bus
arrived in front of the STM Penerbangan School, it was again
loaded with passengers from another bus, this time Kopaja T57,
license number B 7954 KA, which plies the Kampung Rambutan to
Blok M route.

By now our suffering had reached its height. Just like the
other two buses, the last one made a U-turn as soon as it
unloaded its human freight.

The behavior of the bus drivers of these two companies,
Metromini and Kopaja, is scandalous. If this behavior is allowed
to continue without punishment, it will go on and on.
