Crooks posing as psychics

Crooks posing as psychics

From Media Indonesia

Early in November last year, I had the misfortune of being cheated by a swindler named Lila binti H. Tibi and her accomplice Eka Iktriastuti.

This is the way they run their operation: they proclaim themselves as psychics who have an orphanage. They then create a situation in which you become helpless by saying that you are under the influence of magic spells. To ward off the evil spirits, you must perform a ritual ceremony costing quite a lot of money: millions of rupiah.

At first, I didn't believe their words but later I succumbed to their wiles as they claimed religion as their basis. I began to be suspicious as they demanded more money without any apparent results. The head of the local neighborhood association confirmed my suspicions, saying that there had been a lot of victims cheated out of their money.

The financial loss I suffered was not as bad as the moral damage done to me, as one of them (Eka Iktriastuti) spread damaging rumors about me, despite my efforts to find her a job.

I have reported the case to the police and the authorities at IISIP, but so far there has been no response.

I appeal to Lila and Iktriastuti to stop their evil ways and would suggest that readers be on the alert when dealing with these two crooks. Physical characteristics: Lila, tall and fat, has dark complexion, straight hair and thick lips, while Eka Iktriastuti is tall, has a fair complexion, is of medium weight and wears a Muslim head scarf. In their efforts to convince their marks, they always use Islamic symbols and quote Islamic verses.
