Croatia sets up plant here

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia and Croatia yesterday forged closer ties by signing a cooperation agreement to build an electricity equipment plant in a ceremony here, which was attended by visiting Croatian Prime Minister Nikica Valentic.

Under the agreement, the two countries will establish a joint venture, called PT Twins Indonesia.

Stanley Milikan, who was appointed to lead the venture, told Antara that the company will construct a plant to produce switch gear and transmission lines, products which have thus far been imported from Japan and some European countries. (rid)
