Criticised by Netizens Over Persib Bonus, KDM Ready to Disclose Cattle Sale Data
The Persib Bandung team was awarded a Rp 1 billion prize following their victory in the 2025/2026 Super League and their achievement of three consecutive wins. The prize was presented by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi.
However, the Governor’s presentation of the prize has faced significant questioning and criticism from netizens on social media, particularly concerning the source of the funds used for the bonus given to the Maung Bandung squad.
Responding to these criticisms, Dedi Mulyadi asserted that the Rp 1 billion bonus provided to Persib Bandung originated from his personal savings. He stated that these funds were largely obtained from the proceeds of cattle sales.
“Let me explain; the one billion funds given to Persib were taken from my savings account. My savings were replenished, among other things, from the results of cattle sales,” said the Governor, affectionately known as KDM, via a statement shared on social media on Monday (8/6/2026).
KDM acknowledged that many netizens have questioned the identity of the parties who purchased his cattle. In response, he openly mentioned several names of buyers who had transacted with him. He noted that the number of buyers was quite large, ranging from individuals purchasing a single head of cattle to those purchasing several at once.
“Some bought one, some bought two, some bought three, even some bought four. If I were to mention everyone, it would be a very long list because there are many buyers,” he said.
Furthermore, KDM ensured that all cattle sale transactions are well-documented. He claimed to have prepared various supporting evidence, including payment receipts, delivery data, destination locations, and documentation of the recipients.
“If ever required in the future, the data is ready. There is proof of cattle delivery, photos of the delivery, and complete photos of the recipients,” he explained.
KDM emphasised that transparency is necessary to prevent speculation within the community. He also stated that he does not mind the criticism or questions arising from the public. On the contrary, he views criticism as a form of oversight that encourages him to be more cautious in his duties as a regional head.
“I would like to thank anyone who criticises and reminds me. I am pleased that many people are reminding, criticising, and looking for faults. In this way, I will continue to be self-reflective and cautious in every action I take,” he said.
KDM reaffirmed that the entire process and the source of the funds used can be accounted for. He expressed hope that this explanation would address the various questions circulating in the community regarding the bonus provided to Persib.
