Criminals stab accomplice to death

JAKARTA: A criminal was murdered by his accomplices after a
quarrel on Wednesday evening. The 28-year-old M. Darwis, who was
widely known as a hoodlum, was killed by his friends, identified
as Demang and Gepeng, after he had protested their unfair
treatment in sharing out the proceeds of a crime.

Darwis was stabbed five times in the back with a badik
(traditional dagger) near Cilincing in North Jakarta. He was
taken to Tugu hospital nearby but died later due to his severe
injuries. -- JP
