Jakarta — The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Police Headquarters (Bareskrim Polri) has arrested A. Hamid alias Boy, a suspected drug trafficker from Koko Erwin’s network, who was listed on the wanted persons list (DPO).

“The wanted person Boy has been captured,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, in Jakarta on Thursday.

He stated that Boy was arrested in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Tuesday, 10 March, and brought to Bareskrim Polri headquarters in Jakarta on the evening of the same day.

According to Santoso, the arrest of Boy began when the Sub-directorate IV team of Dittipidnarkoba obtained information regarding his whereabouts in Pontianak on Friday, 6 March. The following day, the team immediately deployed to Pontianak.

Subsequently, they received information that Boy was at a guest house. Upon inspection, the suspect was no longer there.

The team resumed operations and obtained information that Boy was at a residence. From the search and witness examination, it was determined that Boy had already left that house.

The team then moved to a house belonging to a person with initials DH in Kubu Raya, Pontianak. There, the team successfully apprehended Boy in a warehouse beside DH’s residence.

Santoso revealed that Boy had initially fled to Jakarta to meet his girlfriend with initials R, who was living at the home of R’s aunt in Banten.

Upon arriving in Banten, Boy contacted Koko Erwin to inform him that he was being pursued by police and requested protection.

“Koko Erwin suggested that Boy immediately go to Pontianak, West Kalimantan, to hide and said he would be assisted by his associate named DH,” Santoso stated.

On 21 February 2026, Boy travelled to Pontianak with his girlfriend and remained in the city until his arrest by investigators.

For the next steps, Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri will interrogate Boy and hand him over to the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB).

Earlier, Santoso stated that Boy played a role in providing money to Senior Police Officer (AKP) Malaungi, who is a suspect in a drug case.

“Suspect Malaungi received money from A. Hamid alias Boy between June 2025 and November 2025, totalling 1.8 billion rupiah as attention money,” he stated.

Malaungi subsequently passed the money to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who has been designated as a suspect in a drug case at Bima City Police Headquarters.
