Criminal Gang that Assaulted Elderly Couple in Bogor Has Struck at 50 Locations

Police have arrested three of six violent robbers who assaulted an elderly couple until one lost hearing in Cileungsi, Bogor Regency. The criminal gang has committed crimes at 50 locations or crime scenes (TKP).

Bogor Police Chief Wikha Ardilestanto stated that three arrested suspects are identified as M, E and K. Suspect K is currently detained at Batang Police Resort, Central Java Police, for another case.

“In the investigation, it was revealed that the gang has committed crimes at 50 TKP in Central Java and West Java,” Wikha said at a press conference on Monday (16 March 2026).

Wikha identified the main suspect as M. Suspect M was arrested in Cipendeuy, West Bandung Regency. The arrest was led directly by Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison.

“The action of the Cileungsi Police Chief successfully secured the main perpetrator identified as M, age 29. This suspect was arrested by the Cileungsi Police Chief in Cipendeuy, West Bandung Regency,” Wikha said.

Currently, two suspects identified as M and E remain under investigation at Cileungsi Police Station. Meanwhile, three other suspects have been listed as wanted persons (DPO).

“Regarding the other perpetrators, we are still pursuing them. Cileungsi Police Station has coordinated with Bogor Police Resort to apprehend the others, and there is one piece of evidence—a motorcycle—that has not yet been found,” Wikha said.

The robbery occurred at the victim’s residence in Jatisari Village, Cileungsi District, on 8 September 2025 at approximately 1:00 AM local time. The victims are an elderly couple: Samah, 66, and Hamim, 69.

“The victims are a husband and wife. The first victim is a grandmother, age 66, identified as S, along with her husband, age 69, identified as H,” Wikha said.
