Crimes and liquor industry
Crimes and liquor industry
From Neraca
"Operation Cleansing" and its effort to eliminate criminals
and repress the distribution of liquor has obviously been a
relief for most of the people. But unfortunately, as widely
reported by national newspapers, the Ministry of Trade stated
that the government allows the liquor industry to continue
distribution.
Indeed the liquor is intended for other countries, but who can
guarantee some of it will not be illegally distributed in this
country? Are the police and other authorities sure they can
control this market? Will the government penalize illegal
distributors heavily?
I am worried about the negative impact of liquor on the
jobless people who are fond of getting drunk. They do not
hesitate to fire their guns at their targets, and they even
resort to violence and murder.
It is fine for the government to permit the liquor industry,
but the police should enforce strict rules and action.
