Jakarta — Jakarta police have reported several criminal incidents on Monday, 9 March, including the case of a woman trapped in predatory loan debt who embezzled her friend’s valuables, and the circumstances surrounding a man’s fall from the third floor of Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) 2.
A 42-year-old woman with the initials DS has been arrested by Grogol Petamburan police after stealing valuable items worth 300 million rupiah from her own friend. According to Police Chief AKP Reza Aditya of Grogol Petamburan Sector, the suspect carried out the theft from September through December 2025 at the victim’s residence in the Tanjung Duren Utara area, West Jakarta. The theft was motivated by the suspect’s entanglement with predatory online loans.
