The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has decided that credits below Rp 1 million will no longer be recorded in the Financial Services Information System (SLIK). This new policy was announced by OJK Commissioner Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi following a meeting with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait at the OJK office. The relaxation of SLIK rules aims to support the 3 million homes programme.

“In yesterday’s Board of Commissioners meeting, we decided that in the SLIK report, the information to be displayed will be credits with a nominal value above Rp 1 million, whether based on the accumulation of the debtor’s credit records or the outstanding debit balance,” said Friderica in Jakarta on Monday, 13 April 2026, quoted from a press release.

In addition, OJK is accelerating the update of loan repayment status in SLIK to a maximum of three working days after repayment is made. This policy will be implemented no later than the end of June 2026. It is hoped that the three-day status update can help accelerate the housing financing application process.

OJK will also provide SLIK access to BP Tapera in accordance with applicable provisions. With that, said Friderica, the process of providing housing financing facilities from BP Tapera can be expedited.

Nevertheless, Friderica stated that the decision to grant KPR (Home Ownership Credit) to low-income communities remains the authority of each bank, considering the principles of prudence and risk mitigation. “OJK will continue to support and encourage various steps that can be taken to accelerate the achievement of the 3 million homes programme,” she said.

The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait has decided that communities with SLIK credit records below Rp 1 million can apply for subsidised housing credit. “So those who have had SLIK OJK records below Rp 1 million so far, starting from this moment, may apply for subsidised housing credit,” said Maruarar in Jakarta on Monday, 13 April 2026, quoted from Antara.
