Credit card fraud

Lately, I have been dogged by fraudulent use of my credit card. Having had my MasterCard replaced twice, I have only used my most recently issued card to obtain some cash advances at a branch of BII in Bogor.

Recently, however, I was back on the phone with MasterCard representatives in Britain, as the card had been used for purchases in a Taiwanese electronics store while I (and the legitimate card) remained here in Bogor.

MasterCard representatives in Britain told me to report the matter to police, but I have been in Indonesia "too long."

So instead, I am informing The Jakarta Post and your readers. I find it astonishing that MasterCard in the United Kingdom cannot provide me with a regional contact to help me deal with credit card fraud.
