Creative Industry Becomes Increasingly Complex, Integrated Ecosystem Model Emerges as Solution

Indonesia’s creative industry continues to experience dynamics amid the growing need for integration between strategy and execution. Amid these changes, industry players are beginning to adopt more structured business models to strengthen the competitiveness of local works on a global level. One marker of this shift is the step taken by the design and animation studio Cuatrodia, which announced its identity and business model transformation to Cuatrodia Creative Circle in April 2026. This business model change is built upon the company’s long track record in the creative industry. For more than 13 years, Cuatrodia has been known through a consistent craftsmanship approach, which has then strengthened its position in various national award events. Not only in the fields of animation and film, the strength of physical design also forms part of the company’s portfolio, including winning Gold for Design Packaging at the MarCom Awards. Project-based work models that are separate are deemed no longer sufficient to meet client demands that desire comprehensive solutions, from concept development to execution. To address these challenges, Cuatrodia has developed the “Creative Circle” model that integrates creative strategy and technical production within one ecosystem. This model is realised through four specialist business units called “The Houses”. The four units include Notion Nation as the Creative House focusing on strategic concept development, Design Dorm as the Design House maintaining visual and aesthetic standards, Motion Machine as the Motion House handling animation, and Story on Craft as the Artisan House developing physical assets and merchandise. CEO & Founder of Cuatrodia, Nuansa Agi, stated that this transformation is the result of the company’s long experience in navigating the dynamics of the creative industry. “We are no longer just providing separate solutions. We are presenting an ecosystem that connects the craftsmanship of the nation’s children, which has been recognised in film festivals as well as advertising awards, with measured strategic thinking,” said Nuansa in a press release on Friday (10/4/2026). Meanwhile, Business Director & Co-founder, Rahadian Ardi Nugroho, emphasised the importance of flexibility in facing industry changes. With a portfolio that includes events like the Indonesian Film Festival, the company is said to be ready to strengthen services for business partners. From previously focusing on specific services such as design and animation, it now develops into a collaborative ecosystem that encompasses various specialisations within one work circle. With this new structure, Cuatrodia positions itself as a provider of creative solutions that are not only oriented towards visual output but also towards strategic impact for business partners. The Creative Circle model is expected to strengthen the position of Indonesian creative works with more measured and integrated craftsmanship standards.
