Creative economy players are encouraged to further strengthen business risk management amid the sector’s continuous growth and increasing dynamism. One such effort is realised through a collaboration between PT BRI Insurance and the National Creative Economy Movement (Gekrafs), which aims to improve creative business actors’ understanding of the importance of protection and risk mitigation in running their businesses. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement by President Director of PT BRI Insurance Budi Legowo and Chairman of DPP Gekrafs Kawendra Lukistian on 17 June 2026 at the BRI Insurance Office, Menara Brilian, Jakarta. On the occasion, Kawendra Lukistian expressed his appreciation for the synergy established between the two parties. According to him, although access to capital for creative economy players is now increasingly open, the aspect of business protection is still often overlooked. “Access to capital is now increasingly open, but there is one thing that is often forgotten, namely protection for the practitioners. With this cooperation between Gekrafs and BRI Insurance, hopefully creative business players will feel safer to create,” said Kawendra. He hopes the benefits of this collaboration will not only be felt by Gekrafs members, but also by all creative economy players in Indonesia who need protection in developing their businesses. President Director of BRI Insurance Budi Legowo said his party welcomed the cooperation, considering that the creative economy is one of the sectors experiencing rapid growth and making a significant contribution to the national economy. “The purpose of this cooperation is an effort to secure the future of creative business players in Indonesia by building strategic collaboration for economic growth and resilience,” said Budi. According to him, BRI Insurance is also ready to provide education and literacy on the importance of insurance as part of a business protection strategy. This is considered important because various risks can arise at any time and potentially affect the business continuity of creative economy players. Budi emphasised that protection is an aspect that cannot be ignored in building a sustainable business. Therefore, BRI Insurance continues to strive to improve insurance literacy while presenting various service innovations that suit the needs of the community. This cooperation is also part of BRI Insurance’s commitment to continue providing reliable protection solutions for various levels of society, including creative economy players who are one of the potential sectors in driving Indonesia’s economic growth. By strengthening understanding of risk management and business protection, creative economy players are expected to develop their businesses with greater confidence and sustainability.
