Crash victim dies in hospital

BANDUNG: A woman who suffered severe burns when a light
trainer plane crash-landed in a busy shopping street here last
week died, bringing the total death toll to 16, Antara reported.

The woman was identified only as 35-year old Eti, a local
resident who was in one of the four shops hit by the plane and
later razed by the fire.

Her 20-year old daughter Titin and three-year old grandson
Yusuf were still undergoing medical treatment, also for burns.

Four men on board the plane and 12 people on the ground were
killed in the accident. Ten others are still in hospital.

PT Jasaraharja Putra, the state life insurance company, on
Wednesday presented checks of Rp 30 million each to the heirs of
the victims and Rp 1 million to the relatives of the injured
victims. (emb)
