Crash! Lamborghini Shunted by Gran Max at UIN Jogja Traffic Lights
A crash occurred at the junction near UIN Jogja in Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman. A black Lamborghini was struck from behind by a white Gran Max while the vehicles were queuing at a traffic light.
“The light was red, and it was hit from behind by the Gran Max. The driver braked too late and couldn’t stop in time,” eyewitness Rustam told detikJogja at the scene on Wednesday (14 October 2026).
Rustam was among those who helped push the two cars to the roadside. He said the collision happened at around 11am local time. The Lamborghini had stopped first after travelling from east to west.
Rustam said neither vehicle had sustained significant damage. After they were moved to the roadside, the drivers resolved the matter amicably.
“There was only a little damage; personally, I wouldn’t even count it as damage. I helped push them over there. The Gran Max was fine,” Rustam said.
“The Gran Max driver was a man, around 40, while the Lamborghini driver was a young woman, about 30. They talked and said it was all right,” he added.
Sleman Police spokesperson Iptu Argo Anggoro also confirmed the crash. He said no one was injured.
“It is true that a traffic accident involving a Lamborghini and a Gran Max occurred at the junction near UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Officers from the Depok Barat Police traffic unit attended the scene to conduct an inspection,” he said.
“Initial checks found that the incident caused no injuries. The damage identified was minor damage to the Lamborghini. Both parties agreed to settle the matter amicably,” Argo concluded.
