Cragnotti seeks investment partner
MILAN (Reuters): Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti is looking for a partner to invest in the Serie A club and says he would prefer a media company.
Cragnotti, head of heavily in-debt Cirio group, said in July he would quit Lazio after fans protested against the sale of two key players, but later vowed to stay on.
The Cirio group, whose core business is canned foods, had debts of 1.7 trillion lire (US$784 million) at the end of 2000, and Cragnotti said on Thursday it would sell off non-core assets and properties to reduce the debt pile.
