CPNS 2026 Selection Looms, Preparation Key to Facing ASN Formation Competition

Public enthusiasm for the 2026 Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) selection has begun to increase significantly. The government, through the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) and the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), is currently finalising preparations for the state civil apparatus (ASN) needs across various central and regional agencies. This high level of interest is evident from the trend of information searches on various digital platforms regarding registration schedules and formation details. However, behind this enthusiasm, a major challenge awaits applicants, particularly in facing the Computer Assisted Test (CAT)-based selection system. The CAT system demands that participants not only meet the passing grade threshold but also excel in the ranking system due to limited formation quotas. Yudha Situmorang, CEO and Co-Founder of Impia, highlighted that the main obstacle for participants is often not merely mastering the material, but adapting to the exam pattern. “Many participants actually have good abilities, but are not yet accustomed to working under pressure within a limited time. Therefore, practice that simulates exam conditions is important to build readiness,” said Yudha. Responding to this challenge, educational technology now offers practical solutions through independent practice platforms. Although early preparation is strongly encouraged, the public is reminded to remain vigilant against hoax information or unofficial sources regarding the registration schedule. All valid information related to the requirements and selection stages will only be announced through official government channels. Yudha Situmorang added that the waiting period before the official announcement is a golden opportunity for applicants. “When the official schedule has not been announced, participants have a longer opportunity to practice and build their understanding of the material. Preparation done earlier can certainly help boost confidence when the selection takes place,” he concluded.
