Coway underscores research-based innovation as cornerstone of product development

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Coway International Indonesia affirms that research-based innovation is the cornerstone of its product development in air and water quality. ‘With global research support and robust technology development, products are designed to support healthier, more comfortable, and modern living,’ said Jake Lee, Vice President Director of Coway Indonesia, in a written statement issued in Jakarta on Sunday. He stated that the commitment to research-based innovation is realised through an R&D Centre serving as the hub for air and water solutions research and development. Coway noted that the research centre is supported by over 300 researchers developing various eco-friendly household appliances, including water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets, and mattresses. He added that research also covers consumer behaviour, lifestyle patterns, and environmental conditions across various countries to ensure products meet market needs. Both products are developed by integrating air purification technology, air quality data analysis, and designs aimed at supporting modern lifestyles. Squarebig is designed for large rooms covering up to 79 square metres and features real-time air quality monitoring. Both products are also equipped with Air Matching Filter technology, allowing users to adjust air filtration systems based on home environmental conditions. Jake Lee said the product innovations exemplify how research and technology development are translated into solutions that meet community needs. ‘Innovation is not just about introducing the latest technology, but how that technology can deliver tangible solutions relevant to consumers’ everyday needs,’ he added.
