Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago Supports Inclusive Education with Workshop for Special Needs Students
Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago, in collaboration with Sharing Happiness from Rumah Zakat, organised an Inclusive Workshop for 20 students from SLB-C Sukapura on Tuesday (30/06/2026) at Bar at Dago, Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago. This workshop was held as an effort to support the creation of a more inclusive environment.
Carrying the spirit of ‘Together We Grow Through Inclusion’, the event provided direct experience of the hotel industry through four interactive activities: Mini Pizza Making, Bed Making, Art Towels, and Coffee Fun Making. Each session was designed to develop creativity, motor skills, independence, and self-confidence among participants in a fun learning atmosphere.
The workshop is part of Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago’s commitment to implementing corporate social responsibility programmes, while supporting the values of diversity, equality, and inclusion through collaboration with communities and educational institutions.
“Inclusion begins when we open opportunities for every individual to learn, create, and experience equality. We hope this collaboration serves as a small step that brings a significant impact to the participants and the community,” said Agustin Santriana, Brand & Marketing Department Head of Sharing Happiness.
Sri Kusbinah, a representative from SLB-C Sukapura, expressed appreciation for the event. According to her, the workshop provided highly valuable new experiences for the students.
“They are not only learning practical skills but also building courage, independence, and self-confidence through direct interaction with professionals in the hotel industry,” said Sri.
Meanwhile, the HR Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago, Erna Nio Ratnasari, stated that the Inclusive Workshop is expected to provide a meaningful experience for the students.
“It also serves as the hotel’s commitment to creating an environment of mutual respect and support, providing space for everyone to grow according to their abilities. We hope the collaboration with Sharing Happiness and SLB-C Sukapura can continue and provide sustainable benefits to the community,” added Erna.
