Couple Robbed in Bogor, Two Suspects Apprehended by Security Guards

A couple were the victims of a robbery in the Gununggeulis housing complex, Sukaraja, Bogor. Two of the perpetrators were arrested by the housing complex’s security guards.

“It is true that the security guards caught the perpetrators, and all the evidence and the perpetrators were handed over to the Bogor Police,” said Head of Town Management Summarecon Bogor, Maria Hera, to detikcom, Thursday (27/2/2026).

The incident occurred when the two victims were sitting and resting on the main road of the housing complex in the early hours of the morning, around 00:15 WIB. There were four perpetrators who threatened the victims with a knife.

“They (the victims) were a couple, then they were resting by the side of the road. Then four people on two motorbikes approached them and immediately threatened them with a knife. (The victims) were asked to hand over their cellphones, including an iPhone, and to hand over the keys to their motorbike. After the victims handed them over, the perpetrators immediately sped off on the motorbike,” said Maria.

Maria said that the victims shouted, and the housing complex’s security guards, who were on duty at the guard post, heard them. The security guards then coordinated with other officers using a walkie-talkie (HT) until two of the perpetrators were successfully apprehended.

“The officers (security guards) coordinated via HT with other officers to help pursue the perpetrators. They were caught on Jalan Boulevard Utama because the perpetrators were cornered,” said Maria.

The Sukaraja Police Chief, AKP Ade Rahmad, confirmed the incident. Currently, the two perpetrators are being questioned at the Bogor Police.

“For further handling and investigation of the case, in order to pursue the perpetrators who are still at large, the Sukaraja Police’s on-duty officers have handed over the suspects, victims, and witnesses to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police,” said Ade in a written statement.

Ade said that the two perpetrators who were arrested were identified as CKT (33) and CA (30), who are from Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. From the perpetrators, officers seized a knife belonging to the suspects, a black Honda Beat motorbike belonging to the perpetrators, an iPhone 13 belonging to the victims, and a Honda Vario motorbike belonging to the victims.

“Our on-duty officers immediately secured the two suspects and the evidence from the scene. This swift action is a form of the preparedness of personnel in the field in responding to reports of public security disturbances,” he added.
