Councillor's 'guest' arrested

JAKARTA: A man, who went to meet a councillor of the
Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, was arrested at the City
Council building on Wednesday for smoking marijuana.

The man, identified as Zulkarnain, who had planned to meet
Councillor Supangat, was arrested by council security guard Agus.

Agus said the 33-year-old man, who claimed to be a party
supporter, often visited the building to ask for donations from
the party's councillors.

Zulkarnain, who admitted to smoking marijuana to kill time
while waiting for Supangat, was then handed over to police. -JP
