Council to summon three ministers

JAKARTA: While the House of Representatives will not be able
to summon Cabinet members in the near future, the Regional
Representatives Council has arranged separate hearings with three
ministers.

Council Speaker Ginandjar Kartasasmita said on Tuesday
Minister of Homes Affairs M. Ma'ruf, Minister of National
Education Bambang Sudibyo and National Development Planning chief
Sri Mulyani Indrawati would meet ad hoc committees to explain
their regional autonomy agenda in the first 100 days of office.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked all government
officials to fulfill summons from the House until its internal
wrangling was settled. -- JP
