Council questions project funds
SEMARANG: The Central Java legislative council has questioned
the use of Australian funds to finance projects in the province.
"We will ask the provincial administration to report the use
of the aid funds given by Queensland state to the province,"
Soetjipto Tiptosoewignyo of the council's Commission A said.
He said the two governments have been cooperating in the
fields of agriculture, education, tourism and industry for five
years, but the provincial government has yet to make a clear
report on how the funds from the Australian state government have
been used. (har)
