BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The provincial legislative assembly has received 10 nominations from the public for South Kalimantan's next governor.
Assembly speaker Ismail Abdullah said a total of 65 local organizations have submitted their proposals since the assembly opened the nominations late last month.

Said's term is scheduled to end in February, 1995.
Leading the nominations is Syachril Darham, head of the South Kalimantan development board. Other candidates proposed include current Deputy Governor Gusti Hasan Aman and Brig. Gen. (ret.) Soenarso, the chairman of the provincial chapter of Golkar. (emb)
