Costly trip from Taman Mini

Costly trip from Taman Mini

From Neraca

Recently, my family and I spent a holiday at Taman Mini
Indonesia Indah. I was able to enjoy the various cultures of
Indonesia. I was awed at Indonesia's ability to unite so many
cultures within the scope of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in
Diversity). And why not?

Here we have a host of assorted cultures that are united in
one purpose: to work hand in hand to build the nation.

However, I had transportation problems. I was aware that
transportation in Jakarta would be much higher than in my
hometown of Semarang. Yet I could not get over the high fare from
Taman Mini to Kampung Rambutan, less than one kilometer away from
the park (right across the toll road). I estimated that the trip
should have cost me Rp 300, but I was made to pay Rp 1,000.

Another rather suspicious thing was that the respective public
vehicle was not registered on the evening transportation
schedule. Yet, I boarded the vehicle at 5:46 p.m.

I do not know their reasons for charging us such an outrageous
fare. I also do not know if the park's management was aware of
the matter. The transportation cost to Taman Mini could be said
to be within reason, but how could such a costly public vehicle
operate in the park's vicinity without the management's
knowledge?

Is this not detrimental to Taman Mini's reputation?
