Cost of Full Tank Fuel for Innova Reborn Reaches Rp 1.6 Million

JAKARTA – Diesel prices at several fuel stations have come under scrutiny following a significant increase throughout May 2026. Some have even approached Rp 31,000 per litre.

One of the largest surges is seen in Shell V-Power Diesel. As of 10 May 2026, its price stands at Rp 30,890 per litre, a sharp rise from Rp 14,620 per litre in March 2026.

This increase has pulled up the operational costs of diesel cars. One affected model is the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn Diesel, which has a fuel tank capacity of 55 litres.

If filled completely with Shell V-Power Diesel at the latest price, owners of the Innova Reborn Diesel now need to prepare around Rp 1,698,950 for a single full tank.

For comparison, several other fuel stations are also selling diesel fuel at high prices, although some have begun adjustments, including Pertamina’s non-subsidised fuel.

BP Indonesia, for instance, has reduced the price of BP Ultimate Diesel to Rp 29,890 per litre starting from 8 May 2026. At that price, the full tank cost for the Innova Reborn Diesel reaches around Rp 1,643,950.

Pertamina’s non-subsidised diesel product has also seen a price increase recently.

Dexlite is now sold at Rp 23,600 per litre, up from Rp 14,200 per litre previously. If used to fill the Innova Reborn Diesel completely, the required funds amount to around Rp 1,298,000.

This rise in diesel fuel prices makes the cost of using diesel cars increasingly expensive, particularly for users with high mobility or those who regularly travel long distances.
