Corruption trial dossier finalized
The Jakarta Prosecutor's Office will hand over the dossier of Budi Atin Setiadi in relation to the Rp 2.7 billion (US$1,249,421) embezzlement case at PD Pasar Jaya, the City Market Authority, to the district court at the end of this month.
Section head of special crime of the office, Soetomo, said the questioning of Budi Atin Setiadi, 52, the authority's former treasurer, has reached its final stage.
Thus far, the office has questioned 28 people in connection with the embezzlement case, including Budi's wife, Djauhary Mattjik, former Pasar Jaya business director, Oemaran, and Jatniko, an official of the Jakarta Tax Office.
Budi was apprehended by the police in Saketi Village, Labuan, West Java, on June 6, several months after the embezzlement was reported. He is now in custody at Cipinang prison, East Jakarta. (03)
