Corruption Eradication Commission Seizes Cash During Arrest of Rejang Lebong Regent
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a dawn raid (OTT) against Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari. The KPK seized documents and cash during the operation.
“In this dawn raid incident, our team not only secured a number of individuals but also secured evidence, including documents, electronic evidence, and cash,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said at KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
Budi stated that 13 individuals were secured by the KPK in the dawn raid conducted on Monday (9 March). In addition to the regent, the KPK also secured Rejang Lebong Deputy Regent Hendri Praja.
“Of the nine individuals brought to Jakarta this morning, one is the regent, then the deputy regent, and also three other civil servants from the Rejang Lebong district administration. The remaining four individuals are from the private sector,” Budi said.
The individuals subjected to the dawn raid remain under investigation status. The KPK has 24 hours to determine their legal status.
