Corruption Case Involving Inactive Regent of Rejang Lebong: KPK Summons Deputy Chairman of DPD PAN
The Deputy Chairman of the DPD Partai Amanat Nasional in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu, has been summoned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a witness in the alleged bribery case implicating inactive Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari.
“The examination is taking place at the Provincial Financial and Development Supervisory Agency Representative Office in Bengkulu, under the name BD, who is the Deputy Chairman of DPD PAN Rejang Lebong,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.
Additionally, Budi said that the KPK has summoned several other witnesses, including RS, Head of the Road Infrastructure Division at the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department of Rejang Lebong, as well as AA, ML, and EH, who are technical implementing officials at the Rejang Lebong Public Works Department.
Other witnesses include AS, Director of PT Statika Mitra Sarana, as well as DR and SS, employees of PT Pebana Adi Sarana.
Previously, on 9 March 2026, the KPK arrested Regent of Rejang Lebong Muhammad Fikri Thobari, Deputy Regent Hendri, and 11 others in a catch-and-grab operation (OTT) related to alleged bribery for projects within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government, Bengkulu.
On 10 March 2026, the KPK brought the Regent and Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong, along with seven others, to Jakarta for intensive examinations.
On the same day, the KPK announced Muhammad Fikri Thobari as one of five suspects in the alleged criminal corruption case involving bribery.
On 11 March 2026, the KPK announced the identities of the suspects: Muhammad Fikri Thobari (MFT), Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department of Rejang Lebong Hary Eko Purnomo (HEP), Irsyad Satria Budiman (IRS) from PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala (EDM) from CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro (YK) from CV Alpagker Abadi.
The five suspects are alleged to be involved in bribery related to project advances within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government, Bengkulu, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
The KPK suspects that Muhammad Fikri Thobari demanded project kickbacks of around 10–15 percent from the three private entities. The funds are alleged to have been used for certain interests, including plans for distributing holiday allowances (THR).
