President Prabowo Subianto delivered a stern warning to officials who still dare to commit corruption or hide wealth illegally. He said his government would utilise the most advanced defence technologies, including satellites and ground-penetrating radar, to uncover irregularities.

The remarks were delivered by the President in his address to the 19th Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) during the Fifth Session of the 2025-2026 Legislative Year, at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

‘I’m saddened that some officials still attempt corruption. They will be found quickly,’ he declared.

Prabowo explained that advances in technology are narrowing the room for financial criminals. He warned that he would deploy radar used to detect mines to track bunkers where corrupt assets are stored.

‘There is technology now. There is radar we can use; we can see underground. So those who have bunkers hidden, we will find them,’ he said firmly.

‘I will use the most advanced technology. Defence technology can locate underground weapons stores. Radar can now search for mines, it can search… we will use it to locate the bunkers around you,’ he added.

Beyond targeting underground bunkers, the President also cautioned businessmen or officials who attempt to manipulate ownership reports for large landholdings or plantation estates.

‘Don’t play with technology, okay? Those who own vast plantations, you might think no official can check. Citizens, now there are satellites. We don’t even need to check physically; we can photograph every tree. Tree by tree we can photograph. So if you intend to deceive, we will catch your deception, fellow citizens,’ he said.

Moreover, Prabowo touched on a familiar issue, namely the involvement of security personnel who often act as protectors or backers of various illegal practices.

‘But usually those people have backing. The backing is usually in uniform; if not green, then brown,’ he remarked, drawing laughter and applause from members of the House and guests.

Addressing potential obstacles from field officers, Prabowo urged the public to be more active as the government’s eyes and ears. He asked citizens to use their smartphones to record any misconduct by officers without engaging in confrontation.

‘Right? We are not fools any longer. Our people have gadgets now, comrades. If there is misconduct by officers, I want the people to video it, straight away. Do not confront them. Just video. Report directly to me, comrades,’ he concluded.

The plenary session of the DPR RI focused on the Macro-Economic Framework and the Main Fiscal Policy, including the RAPBN 2027, as delivered by President Prabowo Subianto.

Earlier, there was the handover of main weapon system equipment (alutsista) from the government to the TNI at Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma.

Prabowo also revealed that several countries have begun requesting fertiliser supplies from Indonesia amid a global crisis and disruptions to the supply chain due to conflict in the Middle East.
