The Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, stated that corridor gates are currently available at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the Sukolilo Hajj Hostel in Surabaya. According to Hendarsam, these gates will ensure that Hajj pilgrims do not have to spend excessive time at the airport.

“We have prepared corridor gates at two locations. The first is at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for pilgrims from Jakarta and Lampung; the second is at the Sukolito Hajj Hostel, Surabaya, for pilgrims from East Java. This way, as soon as pilgrims arrive at the airport with their belongings, they can proceed directly home,” Hendarsam Marantoko told reporters on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

At Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the Directorate General of Immigration has stationed two corridor gates in Terminal 2. The first facility is located at Gate F1 to serve the Jakarta-Lampung group, allowing pilgrims to immediately continue on domestic flights to Lampung from the departure area. The second facility is placed in the arrival area of Terminal 2 to serve the Jakarta-Pondok Gede and Jakarta-Bekasi groups.

A number of officers and mobile units have been deployed at each point. Similar services are being implemented at several other embarkation points.

In Surabaya, the corridor gate has been moved from Terminal 2 of Juanda Airport to the Sukolilo Hajj Hostel. The system at this location is connected to the immigration network, supported by primary connections, satellite-based backup lines, and alternative connectivity to bring services closer to the pilgrims.

All preparations for Hajj embarkation points at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and several other locations are ready for operation, covering personnel, inspection facilities, and supporting systems. Hendarsam noted that this step represents a service transformation that continues to prioritise security.

“We continue to strive to provide the best service, especially for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims returning to the homeland. Our hope is that the arrival process for pilgrims is fast, safe, and comfortable, so they can quickly reunite with their families at home. This is in line with the ‘Immigration for the People’ spirit, which is more inclusive and responsive to community needs,” Hendarsam concluded.
