Corrections needed

This letter is addressed to Suhardiman in his capacity as a
member of the Supreme Advisory Council (DPA) and the chairman of
the SOKSI-organization.

I think corrective action is needed over the unfortunate
events which have harmed our people.

The people's patience and sacrifices have been abused by
certain people in authority. The result has been the destruction
of property and the deaths of hundreds of people.

It has taken on tragic proportions. What kind of phenomenon is
this?

Just consider the promises uttered in the election campaign:

1. Correction of the deterioration of the nation's morals.

2. Justice and legal certainty for each citizen.

3. Equal rights in the social and economic fields.

4. Opportunity to obtain political and democratic rights.

5. A clean government.

6. Revitalization of the function of the House of
Representatives.

7. The government acting in defense of workers.

8. The widest opportunity for education for poor children.

9. Effective use of the young generation as human resources.

All these promises to us must be honored.

We hope for a total correction of the order heralded in 1967
without classification relative to ethnic group, religion, race
and intergroup relations, and choice of sociopolitical
organizations. We long for a peaceful and safe life without
conditions caused by the different ambitions of sociopolitical
organizations. And no manipulation for reasons of safety and
stability.

We do not need news on the victory of whoever and whatever.
What we need is the eradication of hypocrisy, collusion,
corruption and nepotism.

Honestly, as part of this nation we feel ashamed when we look
at the progress of democracy attained by the Republic of Iran
which proclaimed itself a republic in only 1979.
