Correction on 1965 PKI putsch?

Correction on 1965 PKI putsch?

From Neraca

The Sept. 30, 1965 Indonesian Communist Party revolt (G30S/PKI) was an attempted coup, what must be straightened out? (Neraca April. 29). That Soeharto made use of the attempted coup to seize power afterward is another matter. It is the duty of historians to put the matter in the right perspective.

But that the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) started the putsch with the abduction and killing of the Heroes of the Revolution is a historical fact. What is there to straighten out?

If the attempted coup had succeeded according to their plan (i.e. it was not used by Soeharto for his own benefit as charged), we democrats would have been eliminated from Indonesian soil.

The risk of a coup, in failure like the communist coup, was the cleansing of the PKI and its henchmen from Pemuda Rakyat (People's Youth), the People's Cultural Institute (Lekra), the Indonesian Women's Movement (Gerwani), etc. It is the law of revolution. What must be corrected?

The G30S/PKI case stands apart, separate from the accusation of Soeharto's role afterward. The people directly involved in the attempted coup cannot be separated from the whole conspiracy of the coup. It is feared that the death of DN Aidit might be considered a human rights violation.

Considering history, what is called communism cannot be encouraged. The 1965-1966 Foundation is a new embryo of a communist movement. Therefore it must be dissolved and declared banned like the PKI, Pemuda Rakyat, the Indonesian Prosperity Labor Union (SBSI), Gerwani, etc..
