Correcting editing mistakes
Correcting editing mistakes
I would like to complain about some editing mistakes in my
short story published in the Sunday edition of The Jakarta Post
on Oct. 6, 2002.
I refer to column five, line 16: "... always out at
appointments ...." The word "at" should be "on". In the same
column, line 34: "... seems more suitable ...." These words
should not exist.
In column 6, line 3: "... stack of haphazardly is better ...."
The words "is better" were incorrectly inserted. Finally, in
column 7, line 46: "... irregular dentition, tinted with a ...",
"dentition" should be "denture".
In addition I found some unnecessary words were inserted
within the sentences, which, in fact, make the sentences
ungrammatical. I would really appreciate it if you would be
mindful of these details in the second part of my story.
