CORE: Danantara's Financial Report Release Strengthens State Transparency
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Economist from the Center of Reform on Economics (CORE) Indonesia, Dipo Satria Ramli, has assessed that Danantara Indonesia’s plan to release its consolidated financial report for the 2025 financial year can strengthen the governance and transparency of state asset management. According to him, a consolidated financial report can serve as an important foundation for Danantara, particularly for building more integrated management standards aligned with global sovereign wealth fund (SWF) practices. “We certainly appreciate Danantara’s step in finally (planning to) release its financial report. However, when we talk about a commitment to governance transparency, merely releasing a report is not enough,” Dipo said in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday. Danantara plans to release the consolidated financial report after all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) have completed their financial reports by 30 June 2026. Dipo reminded that good governance transparency is not only measured by the availability of a financial report, but also by the timeliness of reporting. He suggested that Danantara should deliver its financial report on time and ensure the completeness of information regarding asset management and the audit process by an independent party. On the other hand, he acknowledged that Danantara’s move to consolidate the financial reports of all SOEs is a positive step, as it demonstrates an effort to build a more integrated and comprehensive reporting system. According to him, this step can become a foundation for strengthening supervision, increasing efficiency, and creating greater added value for the state. “This is a good initial step, but Danantara still needs to prove a more disciplined governance standard going forward,” said Dipo. Dipo expressed hope that consistency in applying good governance principles can build public and investor trust in Danantara as a national strategic investment management institution. “Therefore, the sustainability of governance reform and the improvement of financial reporting quality need to be continuously strengthened so that the institution’s credibility becomes more robust,” said Dipo. Previously, Managing Director of Stakeholders Management and Communications at Danantara Indonesia, Rohan Hafas, explained that Danantara Indonesia’s consolidated financial report for the 2025 financial year is currently still in the preparation process according to the applicable audit stages. He confirmed that the financial report will be submitted after the entire audit process is completed in accordance with the provisions of the prevailing laws and regulations.
