Cop, councillor nabbed for drugs

DENPASAR, Bali: A police officer and a Tabanan regency councillor had been arrested while having a drug party in a hotel in Denpasar, Bali Police revealed on Friday.

From the councillor, police confiscated 0.8 grams of shabu- shabu (crystal methampetamine), a source said. The councillor, Nyoman Sutama Yasa, has been long target of police operations.

The arrest was made after police obtained information from Putu Ari, an accomplice of Sutama, who was arrested earlier on Wednesday. -- Antara
