Coordination in quarrying needed
JAKARTA (JP): Deputy Governor for Economic and Development Affairs Tb. M. Rais wants related offices to coordinate excavation work in the capital to prevent inconvenience to the public.
Rais told reporters over the weekend that there is a tendency among related offices, including the Municipal Public Works Office and the city-owned water company PAM Jaya, to dig up roads for various projects without coordinating scheduling or locations.
Rais said cooperation among the related offices is an absolute necessity to prevent the overlapping of excavation by PAM Jaya and the Public Works Office in any given area. (yns)
