Coordinating Minister Zulhas: KDKMP Managers Resigning Will Not Face Sanctions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) has stated that managers of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) who choose to resign due to placement processes will not face any sanctions.
“There are no (sanctions),” said Zulhas following a KDKMP coordination meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He noted that the number of managers resigning so far has been relatively small, estimating the figure to be around one or two people.
“It is small, just one or two,” he remarked.
During the same session, the Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantor, also mentioned that while some managers are in the process of resigning, the number is not significant. However, he did not provide specific details regarding the exact number of resignations.
“No, it is not many,” Ferry stated briefly.
Ferry further clarified that the figure of approximately 1,900 people discussed during the meeting does not represent the number of resigning managers, but rather those who have been assigned to placements across different provinces. According to him, cross-province placements were implemented to meet human resource requirements in regions currently lacking KDKMP managers.
“As previously stated by the Coordinating Minister, the number is approximately 1,900, or about 11 per cent of Kopdes managers, who are placed across provinces,” he said.
Ferry continued, explaining that the government, alongside PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero), has chosen to maintain the status of managers facing placement issues and is seeking solutions while waiting for the KDKMP infrastructure in more suitable areas to be completed.
“Yesterday, together with PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, we decided to maintain their status and not disqualify them. We will maintain them while waiting for the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative buildings to be completed; essentially, we are looking for a solution,” the Minister of Cooperatives revealed.
Separately from those choosing to resign, the government has requested that managers assigned to locations far from their domicile accept their initial placements to ensure their status remains valid. Subsequently, placements will be adjusted to KDKMP locations closer to their domicile once such locations become available.
The previous day, the Ministry of Cooperatives recorded that over 85 per cent of the 28,620 KDKMP manager candidates had expressed readiness for their assigned locations, while others were still undergoing the confirmation process.
At that time, the Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Ahmad Zabadi, stated that the ministry had not yet received information regarding candidates resigning and emphasised that candidates who had not yet provided confirmation would not automatically be considered as having resigned.
