Coordinating Minister PMK Inspects Revitalisation Progress of Bogor State MTs
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, alongside Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar, has inspected the development progress of the State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Bogor, West Java. “This is the President’s programme for revitalising educational units. It is one of many programmes designed to develop superior human resources,” Coordinating Minister Pratikno stated at the school on Wednesday. The revitalisation of educational units began in 2025, with a total of IDR 13.28 trillion allocated to upgrade schools and madrasahs. “The revitalisation covers 17,573 educational units,” Pratikno explained. Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar noted a significant physical transformation at the Bogor MTs, where a near-collapsing roof has been replaced and dilapidated desks have been swapped for good-quality furniture. He added that the administration of President Prabowo Subianto is paying serious attention to the condition of both schools and madrasahs without discrimination, prioritising both to ensure children enjoy learning and the public is satisfied with the results. The construction budget for the Bogor State MTs reached IDR 5.5 billion, comprising IDR 4 billion for physical construction and IDR 1.5 billion for furniture. The school has 23 classrooms, eleven of which have been completed and are already in use, while the remaining twelve are in the finishing stages, according to Kuswara, Director General of Strategic Infrastructure at the Ministry of Public Works. The educational unit revitalisation programme is a Quick Best Results Programme (PHTC), a priority initiative of President Prabowo Subianto mandated through Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025. The programme focuses on accelerating the rehabilitation, repair, and construction of school and madrasah infrastructure to establish safe, comfortable, and quality learning environments.
