Tangerang – Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security General Djamari Chaniago has emphasised that all aviation transportation services across airports nationwide must run optimally during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr travel period.

“Airport readiness must be maximised, both in terms of fleet and available facilities, so that services to the public can run smoothly,” stated Menko Djamari during an inspection of service readiness at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang on Tuesday.

He said that the readiness of all service elements at the airport, both from the fleet and supporting facilities perspective, is essential to provide optimal service to the public during the period of increased passenger mobility.

“Flight delays must also be minimised, and should any delays occur, information to passengers must be conveyed clearly and transparently,” he said.

The inspection of operational readiness and security at Soetta Airport proceeded smoothly and safely, with various facilities and operations ready to serve airline passengers.

Several integrated command posts have been established at various terminals, including at Terminal 1B at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Galih P. Kartika Perdhana, Head of the Special Class I Immigration Office at Soekarno-Hatta, stated that Soetta Immigration has prepared several anticipatory measures to ensure the smooth operation of immigration inspection processes amid the potential surge in international passenger mobility.

“Soekarno-Hatta Immigration ensures that all immigration inspection services run smoothly and responsively to increased international passenger mobility. Our officers are on standby to provide fast, accurate service whilst maintaining security aspects,” he explained.

To support service continuity during the 2026 Eid air transport period, Soekarno-Hatta Immigration has prepared 98 automated gates and 22 immigration inspection counters distributed across Terminals 2 and 3.

“A total of 504 immigration personnel are also on standby to ensure immigration inspection processes run smoothly, quickly, and with due attention to supervision aspects,” he said.
