The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) together with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) visited and inaugurated the Revitalisation of SDN Cimahpar 5 in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday. Coordinating Minister Pratikno stated that the educational unit revitalisation programme is one of the government’s efforts to improve the quality of superior human resources. He noted that President Prabowo Subianto’s directive requires superior human resources through continuous improvement of health and education quality, highlighting programmes including the Indonesia Future Programme (IFP) and school revitalisation.

Pratikno expressed appreciation for the implementation at SDN Cimahpar 5, which utilised a community-managed scheme involving the local environment in its construction. The budget of approximately Rp2.6 billion was managed by a local committee with supervision and assistance from the Ministry, the City Government, and others. He described the transformation from a single-storey to a two-storey building as excellent work for the allocated budget. He added that after the revitalisation, improvement should not stop at infrastructure but must also extend to the quality of learning.

At the same location, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti conveyed President Prabowo Subianto’s message for Indonesian students to pursue their aspirations diligently. The President encouraged students to be great, to have noble and high aspirations, and not to feel inferior, fearful, or give up easily just because they are not from Jakarta or city areas, urging them to be confident in their abilities.

Deputy Mayor of Bogor Jenal Mutaqin expressed hope that the revitalisation at SDN Cimahpar 5 would provide tangible benefits for students and educational staff, praying the school becomes more comfortable and conducive to smarter learning. Head of School Iim Rohimah explained that prior to receiving revitalisation assistance, the school had only five classrooms with decaying ceilings. Following the Rp2.6 billion grant, the school received a two-storey building with an additional five new classrooms, rehabilitation of lower-floor classrooms, a school health unit room, and a teachers’ room, bringing the total to nine classrooms to serve nine study groups. She expressed gratitude that the school now has comfortable classrooms supporting a conducive learning environment.
