Coordinating Minister for Food confirms smooth distribution of subsidised fertiliser in Aceh

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan has confirmed that the distribution of subsidised fertiliser to farmers in Aceh Province is running smoothly and without hindrance. “The distribution of subsidised fertiliser in Aceh Province is proceeding without obstacles. We continue to monitor fertiliser distribution across Indonesia to ensure it runs smoothly,” Zulkifli Hasan said in Aceh Besar on Saturday. The statement was made after he attended a farmers’ dialogue organised by PT Pupuk Indonesia, which was attended by one hundred farmers from various regions in Aceh Besar. The minister noted that the distribution of subsidised fertiliser in Aceh Besar Regency has currently reached 9,381 tonnes, or 42 per cent of the 2026 allocation of 22,472 tonnes. Nationally, Zulkifli Hasan said, the distribution of subsidised fertiliser has exceeded 4.3 million tonnes out of the 2026 allocation of 9.8 million tonnes, representing a realisation rate of 44.4 per cent. “We are instructed by the President to check the distribution and price of fertiliser daily across Indonesia. This is to ensure that fertiliser distribution is not delayed in reaching farmers, as it impacts rice productivity,” he said. Zulkifli Hasan also urged farmers to make the best use of subsidised fertiliser to increase crop yields. The government provides the subsidy to achieve food self-sufficiency and security. “Make good use of this subsidised fertiliser. It is intended to improve farmers’ welfare. If you have land, plant anything and it will sell. The agricultural sector will be profitable under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto,” Zulkifli Hasan said.
