Coordinating Minister Darmin Finalises Plan to Move OSS Services to BKPM Office

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution held a coordination meeting with Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Thomas Lembong in Jakarta to discuss the planned relocation of the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. “We only discussed the process of transferring the OSS. Tomorrow afternoon, there will be a press release from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and BKPM explaining the process of transferring the service from the Coordinating Ministry to BKPM,” he said when met after the meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office in Jakarta on Thursday (20/12). “So, the service desks, service levels, and queuing system will all be moved to BKPM in the near future,” he added. Lembong stated that while waiting for the transfer process, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and BKPM are also carrying out several transitions, such as refining the OSS software. “So, the transfer will be gradual, but it will be explained in more detail tomorrow,” he added. The government plans to move the OSS to the BKPM office on 2 January 2019. Currently, the OSS is still located at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office. “What will be handed over on 2 January is only the operational services of the OSS system, along with its supporting elements,” said Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Susiwijono Moegiarso, at his office. However, Susiwijono emphasised that policy aspects will remain under the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, led by Coordinating Minister Darmin Nasution, including inter-ministerial and institutional regulations (omnibus law), business process aspects, case resolution, and integration with regional governments. “The development is lengthy, including integration with non-tax state revenue (PNBP) and payment systems; there is still much future development. Operations will move to BKPM on 2 January, but of the four aspects, only operations are being transferred to BKPM. The rest remains with the Coordinating Ministry, and as stated in Presidential Instruction No. 7, all cross-ministerial policies must be under the Coordinating Ministry,” he concluded.
