Coordinating Minister Airlangga Inspects Jetour T2 i-DM SUV at GIIAS 2026, Official Vehicle for G20 Summit in South Africa
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto visited the Jetour booth at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Friday (7/8/2026). During the visit, Airlangga viewed a number of Jetour products, including the Jetour T2 i-DM which was newly introduced for the Indonesian market.
One model that drew Airlangga’s attention was the Jetour T2. The SUV model was previously used as an official vehicle during the G20 Summit in South Africa. Airlangga said he had seen first-hand the use of the vehicle at that international event.
“Mr Airlangga Hartarto’s visit is both an appreciation and motivation for JETOUR to continue delivering global-standard products for Indonesian consumers. The presence of the Jetour T2 i-DM at GIIAS 2026 not only brings the latest plug-in hybrid technology, but also continues the reputation of the Jetour T2 which has gained international recognition through various achievements in the global market,” said President Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia Caroline Ling.
The Jetour T2 itself has recorded cumulative sales of more than 500,000 units globally within 33 months. In addition to being used at the G20 Summit in South Africa, the model is also said to have been used as a police vehicle in several countries, including Angola and the United Arab Emirates.
In Indonesia, Jetour introduced the T2 i-DM as a plug-in hybrid SUV that combines an internal combustion engine with an electric drive system. The model uses a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5 TGDI Hybrid Dedicated Engine, two electric motors, an 18.4 kWh CATL LFP battery, and a 3 Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT).
The combination of the drive system produces a combined output of 224 PS and maximum torque of 390 Nm. Jetour claims the T2 i-DM is capable of travelling more than 1,200 kilometres with the battery and fuel tank fully charged.
For the Indonesian market, the Jetour T2 i-DM is marketed at a price of Rp688 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta. This model is one of the electrification products brought by Jetour in its efforts to expand the choice of electrified vehicles in the national market.
In terms of safety, the Jetour T2 i-DM is equipped with a CATL LFP battery with IP68 certification, six airbags, and 15 Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. These features are intended to assist the driver in various driving conditions.
Its entertainment and connectivity features include a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Sony audio system with 12 speakers. The model also has a panoramic sunroof and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.
In addition to the T2 i-DM, Jetour displayed several other models at GIIAS 2026, namely the Jetour Dashing, Jetour X70 Plus, Jetour T2, Jetour T1, and Jetour T1 i-DM. The line-up showcases Jetour’s product range from conventional engine vehicles to models with electrification technology.
The arrival of the Jetour T2 i-DM in Indonesia also demonstrates the brand’s product development direction as it begins to expand its range of electrified vehicles. With plug-in hybrid technology, this model is intended to combine the use of electric power for journeys with the flexibility of an internal combustion engine for longer trips.
At GIIAS 2026, Jetour carries the Travel+ philosophy, expressed through a range of vehicles with different characters suited to mobility needs. The exhibition is also an opportunity for Jetour to introduce its latest products and technology to Indonesian consumers.
