Cooperatives Minister Targets Completion of 35,000 KDMP by August 2026
Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono has provided an update on the development of the Koperasi Desa dan Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDMP) programme. He stated that the target is for all KDMP units to be fully constructed by August 2026.
“A total of 15,845 cooperatives have been built, with their warehouses, outlets, and supporting equipment 100 percent complete,” Minister Ferry said during a working meeting with House of Representatives Commission VI, chaired by Deputy Chairman Andre Rosiade, in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/7/2026).
He noted that 19,539 units are still under construction, with completion targeted for August 2026. “So, God willing, by August the physical buildings, warehouses, outlets, and equipment for all 35,000 will be 100 percent ready,” he stated.
Ferry also revealed that operational trials have commenced at 1,061 KDMP outlets. He stressed that these are still in the trial phase. “For the operational side, we have only just trialled 1,000 KDMP outlets, as this initial phase of 1,061 is considered an operational trial,” he explained.
Ferry confirmed that his ministry is still refining the programme and will accommodate all input. “We are currently finalising a presidential regulation for operationalisation, including feedback that the business model and visibility are crucial, which we are incorporating into the preparations for operationalisation,” he concluded.
