Cooperatives Minister Appreciates Pramono for Beautifying Jalan Rasuna Said

Cooperatives and SMEs Minister Ferry Juliantono has expressed appreciation for the transformation of Jalan Rasuna Said in South Jakarta, thanking Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung for making the area more beautiful. “I must convey my thanks to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, because thanks to his touch, Jalan Haji Rasuna Said has become a much more beautiful, cooler place, and the venue for this Car Free Day event,” Ferry said in his remarks at the GenCoopRun event on Jalan Rasuna Said, Sunday (19/7/2026). Ferry noted that the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has directly felt the impact of the road’s new look, as its office is located along Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said. “Because the office of the Ministry of Cooperatives happens to be in the Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said area, we certainly feel the impact of the change in the face of Jalan Rasuna Said,” he said. The ministry held the GenCoopRun fun run on Jalan Rasuna Said as part of the 79th National Cooperatives Day commemoration. “This morning, we are holding the GenCoopRun event. ‘Gen’ signifies that cooperatives want to target the younger generation, millennials and Gen Z, and this morning’s GenCoopRun activity is part of the series of events commemorating the 79th National Cooperatives Day,” Ferry explained. Meanwhile, Governor Pramono Anung noted that the Cooperatives Ministry is the first ministry to hold a fun run on the Rasuna Said car-free day. He wished participants a joyful run. “This is the first time a ministry has held a fun run on Jalan Rasuna Said. And hopefully, with the road now quite tidy, everyone is happy, joyful, have a good run,” Pramono said. He expressed hope that more events like GenCoopRun would make Jakarta increasingly colourful, adding that many people now use the Rasuna Said car-free day as a means to exercise.
